Spicy Kool-Aid Pickles
This is a fun recipe for pickle lovers! Blue Raspberry Lemonade, Mango Pineapple Habanero Pickles is a mouthful, but it was very tasty!
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Brining Time: 3-5 days
Ingredients:
- 1 jar of dill pickle spears
- 1 packet (0.14 oz) unsweetened Kool-Aid drink mix (choose your favorite flavor) I used Blue Raspberry Lemonade
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup of Mango Pineapple Habanero
Instructions:
Start by draining the juice from the dill pickle jar into a medium-sized bowl. Reserve the pickle spears.
If you want, cut the pickles into bite-sized pieces.
Combine the Kool-Aid drink mix, sugar, and hot sauce.
Carefully pour it over the pickle spears in the jar, making sure they are fully submerged. If needed, use a clean utensil to push down any floating pickles.
Tightly seal the pickle jar and place it in the refrigerator.
Allow the Kool-Aid Pickles to brine for at least 3-5 days. During this time, the pickles will absorb the Kool-Aid flavors and vibrant colors.
After the brining period, remove the Kool-Aid Pickles from the refrigerator. They are now ready to be enjoyed!
Serve the Kool-Aid Pickles as a unique and eye-catching addition to your next barbecue, picnic, or snack time. The tangy and sweet flavors, along with the fun colors, will surely be a hit!
Note: Feel free to experiment with different flavors of Kool-Aid to create a variety of colorful pickles. You can also adjust the amount of sugar to suit your taste preferences.
